Tennessee Promise Volunteer Day at Radnor Lake State Natural Area (June 24th, 2017)

On Saturday, June 24th over 65 volunteers came to Radnor Lake to work with the park ranger staff as part of our Monthly Volunteer Trail Day at Radnor Lake.
These 65+ volunteers worked on mulching the East Lake Trail-North Ganier Ridge portions of the trails via wheelbarrow at Radnor Lake.  This was also part of Tennessee State Parks Statewide effort today to help students achieve their community service hours for TN Promise requirement hours.
Special thanks to Friends of Radnor Lake for providing gloves, bottled water and lunch(Pizza from Papa Johns) for all of our volunteers and staff.
We would like to thank all of our volunteers who came out to work with us today!
Radnor Lake will also be hosting a special volunteer day on Monday, June 26th 8am-4pm for any additional students who still need to acquire their Tennessee Promise hours.  For more information on that special volunteer day, please go to the following link:
