Information for Saturday, June 24th Volunteer Day

Due to the forecast for this Saturday, park management will make the decision to cancel by 7:30am.  Please call the Visitor Center to find out the status at 7:30am.  615-373-3467
 
Also, to provide an extra opportunity to assist students in obtaining their Tennessee Promise community service hours, Radnor Lake State Natural Area Staff will be providing an additional work day to assist students in obtaining these hours on Monday, June 26th (8am-4pm).  This will also provide a back up date for students already registered in the event the forecast this coming Saturday (June 24th) does not allow for us to safely work on our trails as scheduled and/or any students who are still lacking additional hours to meet their requirement.
 

  • No registration is required for this event, however students MUST log their hours with TN Achieves on their Community Service webpage.  The sign in sheet at the park is to verify that they showed up to the event.

 
All participants are required to be at the Visitor Center at Radnor Lake at 8am to work 8am-noon or at 12pm to work 12-4pm.  to participate on Monday June 26th.  Volunteers should wear clothes/shoes they can get dirty as they work with the park ranger staff on our trails.
 
Please noteWe will be unable to take any late volunteers under any circumstances on this day due to limited staffing and the location of our work day.
