Wood Thrush

Species Details

This striking summer resident is more commonly heard than seen. Its flute-like “ee-oh-lay” song is among the most beautiful birds songs regularly heard around the lake, and it is often one of the first and last birds heard each day.  Its bright rufous brown back contrasts strongly with its black spotted white breast. Winters from southern Mexico through northern Colombia.
