Species Details

The male of this species is bright yellow with a distinctive black hood, the female having faint black outlining her face. Breeds just outside of the Nashville area, but can be found here foraging low in deep coves such as those occurring on the South Cave Loop trail, or wooded edges, singing a loud, whistled “weeta-weeta weet-tee-o”.
