Cedar Waxwing
Species Details
This plump, smooth-plumaged bird with a white undertail has a distinctive thin, high-pitched call. Fairly common in open woodlands and shrubby areas, adults have a sleek crest, black mask, pale yellow wash on the belly and a yellow-tipped tail. Juveniles are drabber than adults. Outside of breeding season, they often travel in large flocks seeking berries.
