Black-and-White Warbler

Species Details

An old name for this contrasting black and white patterned bird is the Creeping Warbler, characteristically creeping up and down tree branches and trunks. The song sounds like a squeaky wheel: “wee-see-wee-see-wee-see”. The nest is built on the ground and well hidden, composed of dead leaves and bark fibers, near the base of a tree, or beneath a rock or fallen limb.
