World Wetlands Day 2021

Project Details

World Wetlands Day (February 2) is a worldwide day to focus on the importance of wetlands to our daily lives. Last year, more than 24 volunteers joined park staff to clean up Radnor’s streams and wetlands within the natural area. They collected more than 387 pounds of trash/recyclable material from over 36 acres of state natural area. As part of the Tennessee State Parks Go Green Efforts at Radnor Lake, more than 150 pounds of the trash collected was sorted and recycled.

This year, there will be four organized volunteer opportunities over two days on Monday, February 1 and Tuesday, February 2 to clean up the watershed at Radnor.
