World Wildlife Conservation Day at Radnor Lake

To celebrate World Wildlife Conservation Day 2023, 10 visitors joined SIR Mackenzie Maness and our park ranger staff for a special tour on Monday, December 4th at the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center.

During this special aviary tour at the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center visitors were able to view our captive birds of prey along the 550′ boardwalk while also enjoying glove programs by SIR Mackenzie Maness, Ranger Jack Foresman and Ranger Matthew Bowling.

In addition, our park staff were able to highlight the conservation success story of American Bald Eagles at Radnor Lake as part of this special day. Visitors were also treated to the unscheduled visit of two wild adult bald eagles who decided to drop in during the tour to hang out with our captive raptor ambassadors at the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Center.

Thank you to our visitors attended this inaugural World Wildlife Conservation Day at Radnor Lake!
