VOLUNTEERS NEEDED BEFORE REOPENING

February 16, 2026 – WKRN

The Park remains closed as more than seven miles of trails are still blocked by downed trees and debris. For weeks, rangers and crews have been working across the Park’s 1,300+ acres, and cleanup is now running ahead of schedule—with a goal to reopen in the first half of March, conditions permitting.

To get there, we need your help.

We are seeking 240 volunteers over the next several weeks to assist staff with safely clearing debris and rehabilitating trails so they can be restored to their pre-storm condition. Volunteer workdays begin this Saturday, February 21, with multiple dates available. Friends of Radnor Lake will provide meals for volunteers, along with a thank-you T-shirt.

Our recovery efforts are a true example of public-private partnership—and of what can happen when a community comes together.
