Volunteer Trail Day at Radnor Lake on January 24th, 2015 (Trees to Trails Kick-Off)

On Saturday, January 24th over 65 volunteers came out to Radnor Lake to work with the park staff on installing recycled Christmas Tree Mulch on the Spillway Trail, Lake Trail and the Historic Valve-House Trail. Volunteers from REI, Lipscomb University and Boy Scouts of America were all part of our efforts to improve the trails with this new layer of recycled mulch.  Thank you to all of the volunteers who came out to help us today.  Special thanks to Friends of Radnor Lake and Granny White Market for providing lunch for the staff and volunteers today! Our next volunteer trail day will be on February 28th, 2015. Hope you can join us for that day as we will be working on installing mulch on the trails and removing invasive-exotic plants at Radnor Lake.
