Visitors with Special Needs Training at Radnor Lake State Natural Area

On Monday, December 21st Radnor Lake State Natural Area hosted a Visitors with Special Needs Training by ADA Coordinator Isaac Okoreeh-Baah.  The entire ranger staff at Radnor Lake along with Tennessee State Parks Trails & Vista Administrator Michael Meister and Canoe/Swiftwater Instructor Jim McCool attended this training.

This training funded by a grant/donation thru Friends of Radnor Lake by Trish and Shelly Krizelman specifically for 6 new canoes at Radnor Lake, canoe instructor certification for the ranger staff (August 2015) and subsequent training specific to visitors with special needs.

During this training, topics covered included interpretive goals the ranger staff conducting programs for park visitors, trail signage improvements, interpretive signage improvements, interpretive canoe programs and recent improvements to the Walter Criley Visitor Center.
