The Cultural Landscape Foundation's "What’s Out There Weekend" Hike at Radnor Lake led by Dr. Doug Heffington

Radnor Lake was one of the hiking destinations to focus on Nashville’s landscapes on April 13th, 2019. This was an opportunity for visitors to Nashville to explore Nashville’s landscapes with free tours with Radnor Lake’s Historic Valve House being one of more than a dozen sites throughout the city. This event was organized in partnership with The Cultural Landscape Foundation in Washington, D.C.
TCLF’s What’s Out There Weekend tours, which have been organized nationwide and in Canada, enable people to discover the design history of places they may pass every day but don’t necessarily know about. Expert guides provide rich stories, personal anecdotes, and keen observations about each site, landscape architecture, city shaping, and design.
Special thanks to Dr. Doug Heffington from Henderson State University for coming to lead this hike for us at Radnor Lake which was made possible by the Cultural Landscape Foundation.
