Radnor Lake State Natural Area Presrcribed Burn on March 3rd, 2017
Tennessee Department of Agriculture, Division of Forestry, Tennessee Division of Natural Areas and Tennessee State Parks conducted a prescribed burn at Radnor Lake State Natural Area on Friday, March 3rd.
Thanks to this partnership, 15 acres of the Radnor Lake State Natural Area area in the Hall Farm were safely burned to help the park staff achieve it’s resource management goal of restablishing this area back to native grasses which provides critical habitat for ground nesting bird species, elimination of invasive-exotic plant species and management of sensitive plant species that require fire management.
Special thanks to Friends of Radnor Lake for providing lunch to all of the staff who assisted with this prescribed burn.
