Radnor Lake Jr. Ranger Intern Program (Session #3) Duck River State Scenic River Clean-up on July 22nd, 2016
On Friday, July 22nd the Jr. Ranger Intern Program (Session #3), Friends of Radnor Lake and the park staff cleaned up 5.5 miles of the Duck River State Scenic River known as the Cheeks Bend Section. This section of river is part of 31 miles of designated State Scenic River and designated State Natural Area as it passes thru the Yanahili Wildlife Management Area.
This float concluded our last session of the Jr. Ranger Intern Program at Radnor Lake which has resulted in 19 miles of river cleaned up this summer to date.
Thanks to funding provided annually by Friends of Radnor Lake, the Junior Ranger Intern Program at Radnor Lake conducts three 6-day sessions each summer with 16 interns in session #3.
Thank you Friends of Radnor Lake for continuing to fund this intern program now in it’s 14th year!
Also, special thanks to Higher Pursuits Boat Rental for their hospitality, great customer service and for assisting us with two of our river trips this summer!
