Radnor Lake Invasive Plant Week (Tuesday, February 26th thru Friday, March 1st)

Radnor Lake will be hosting a morning and afternoon sessions of volunteer exotic-invasive plant removal and native grassland restoration opportunities over a 4-day period to celebrate Invasive Species Week 2019.
Volunteers are needed and asked to register at the Walter Criley Visitor Center at the beginning of each session (9am-morning/1pm-afternoon) February 26th thru March 1st for a safety orientation/discussion on our project goals for the day. Park rangers will then lead our volunteers out as we hike to our work location to work together to pull/cut invasive-exotic plants in the natural area.
Friends of Radnor Lake will be providing bottled water, gloves and lunch at noon each day! Any group volunteers and/or for any additional questions prior to our volunteer day, please contact Lyndy Maness at lyndy.maness@tn.gov or at 615-373-3467.
