Radnor Lake Expands With Nine New Acres | Plans for Harris Ridge Trail in 2026
December 27, 2025 – News Channel 5
Radnor Lake State Natural Area is expanding with nine new acres dedicated to future hiking trails and a new parking area. The $8 million acquisition near Brentwood will create a 2.5 to 3.5-mile hiking trail connecting to the existing park after cleanup and restoration efforts.
Located near the intersection of Franklin Road and Old Hickory Boulevard, this new land acquisition will connect to the existing park, further advancing Radnor Lake’s stewardship mission. Plans also include a one-acre parking area to help accommodate our growing number of visitors. When complete, the new trails will offer some of the longest hikes and most expansive views in the Middle Tennessee metropolitan area.
Volunteer opportunities for cleanup and trail-cleaning efforts will be announced soon for both individuals and groups interested in organizing their own cleanup day. Cleaning up this parcel and demo of houses will be completed in 2026.
