Program Schedule for Labor Day Week 2014

Unless otherwise noted, reservations for activities open at 10:00 A.M. on the Sunday before the program and will be taken until it is full.  Please call 373-3467 to sign up.

Canoe Floats at Radnor Lake State Natural Area

  • Monday, September 1st at 6am.  Join Ranger Dustin Crowell for an interpretive canoe float around Radnor Lake. Canoe float is approximately 1.5 hours.  Ages 10 years old and up. Life vest, paddles and canoes provided by Radnor Lake.  Registration is required and begins on Sunday, August 31st at 10am.

 

  • Friday, September 5th at 6am.  Join Ranger Sam King for an interpretive canoe float around Radnor Lake. Canoe float is approximately 1.5 hours. Ages 10 years old and up. Life vest, paddles and canoes provided by Radnor Lake.  Registration is required and begins on Sunday, August 31st at 10am.

 

  • Saturday, September 6th at 6am.  Join Ranger Jesse Germeraad for an interpretive canoe float around Radnor Lake.  Canoe float is approximately 1.5 hours.  Ages 10 years old and up. Life vest, paddles and canoes provided by Radnor Lake.  Registration is required and begins on Sunday, August 31st at 10am.

History of Radnor Lake

 

  • Sunday, August 31st at 11am.  Join Ranger Jesse Germeraad for a program on the history of Radnor Lake.  This program will start at the Visitor Center with a powerpoint presentation and conclude with a short hike to the Historic Valve-House Trail.  No reservations necessary.

Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center Tours

 

  •                         Sunday, August 31st at 3pm. Join Ranger Dustin Crowell for a hike to the aviary center for a tour while it is under construction for an overview of this environmental education project currently underway at Radnor Lake.  Hike is approximately 1.5 hour. Meet at the Hall Drive/Otter Creek Road.  Reservations are required and open on Saturday, August 30th at 10am.
