Unless otherwise noted, reservations for activities open at 9:30 A.M. on the Sunday before the program and will be taken until it is full. Please call 377-1281 to sign up.

Canoe Floats at Radnor Lake State Natural Area

  • Sunrise Canoe Float: Tuesday, August 25th at 6am. Join Ranger Dustin Crowell for an interpretive canoe float around Radnor Lake. Canoe Float is approximately 1.5 hours. Ages 8 years old and up. Life vest, paddles and canoes provided by Radnor Lake. Registration is required and can be made for this program at the Walter Criley Visitors Center by phone (615-377-1281). Reservations begin on August 23rd at 9:30am.

 

  • Evening Canoe Float: Tuesday, August 25th at 6pm. Join Ranger Sam King for an interpretive canoe float around Radnor Lake. Canoe Float is approximately 1.5 hours. Ages 8 years old and up. Life vest, paddles and canoes provided by Radnor Lake. Registration is required and can be made for this program at the Walter Criley Visitors Center by phone (615-377-1281). Reservations begin on August 23rd at 9:30am.

Late-Summer Wildflower Hikes

  • Thursday, September 10thth at 9am. Join Ranger Sam King for a powerpoint presentation and hike on our late summer wildflowers hike at Radnor Lake.  Program begins at the Walter Criley Visitor Center and concludes with moderate hike approximately 2 miles. Registration is required and can be made for this program at the Walter Criley Visitors Center by phone (615-377-1281). Reservations begin on Sunday, September 6th at 9:30am. Ages 12 years old and up.

 

  • Saturday, September 12th at 10am. Join Ranger Dustin Crowell for a powerpoint presentation and hike on our late summer wildflowers hike at Radnor Lake.   Program begins at the Walter Criley Visitors Center and concludes with a moderate hike approximately 2 miles. . Registration is required and can be made for this program at the Walter Criley Visitors Center by phone (615-377-1281). Reservations begin on Thursday, September 10th at 9:30am. Ages 12 years old and up.

 
 
 

History of Radnor Lake

 

  • Sunday, August 30th at 11am. Join Ranger Sam King for a program on the history of Radnor Lake. This program will start at the Visitor Center with a powerpoint presentation and conclude with a short hike to the Historic Valve-House Trail. No reservations necessary.

 
 
 
 

Snakes of Radnor Lake

 

  • Sunday, September 6th at 11am. Join Ranger Dustin Crowell for a program with our captive snakes at Radnor Lake. Meet at the Walter Criley Visitors Center for this program. All ages. No reservations necessary.

  • Wednesday, August 26thh at 7am-1pm. Join Ranger Will Peters and Ranger Sam King at the new aviary center at Radnor Lake for a tour, a bird of prey program at 9am and noon to view our four birds of prey. Reservations are not required.

 

  • Saturday, August 29th at 1pm-7pm. Join Ranger Dustin Crowell and Ranger Sam King at the new aviary center at Radnor Lake for a tour, a bird of prey program at 2pm and 4pm to view our four birds of prey. Reservations are not required.
