Plein Air Painters at Radnor Lake (October 29th and 30th)
Painters from the Nashville area Chestnut Group, an organization of plein air (outdoor) painters, spent the two days this week at Radnor Lake painting on the recently acquired “Hideaway Tract”. It was a two mornings (October 29th & 30th) and the weather could not have been more perfect.
Chestnut painters, whose mission is to help protect and preserve our beautiful landscapes, will be out with their gear painting around the Lake over the next twelve months capturing the beauty of all four seasons. Their work will be on display at the Visitor Center in early November 2015 for a special show and sale in which 50% or more of the proceeds will go to Friends of Radnor Lake. Watch for more details over the coming months.
Special thanks to the 17 artists who came out this week and to the Ranger Dustin Crowell, Ranger Jesse Germeraad and SIR Will Peters for helping out with this event. It was a great two days at Radnor Lake!
