New Addition to Radnor Lake
On Thursday, August 6th the first American Bald Eagle was transferred to the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center at Radnor Lake. Radnor Lake Ranger Dustin Crowell and Season Interim Ranger Alex Kenney traveled to our partners at American Eagle Foundation headquarters in Pigeon Forge, TN to transfer our first eagle. Special thanks to the American Eagle Foundation, U.S. Fish and Wildlife and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency for their assistance in permitting and transfer of this new addition to Radnor Lake! This is a non-flighted, non-releasable American Bald Eagle residing in Aviary #5, and can be seen during Aviary hours. Visit the aviary page for more information.
