National Public Lands Day Interpretive Programs at Radnor Lake State Natural Area (Sept. 26th, 2015)

National Public Lands Day – Radnor Lake Environmental Research Management Hike

As part of our National Public Lands Day Celebration at Radnor Lake on Saturday, Dr. Robert Loeb from Penn State University led a special program for park visitors about the scientific research being performed at Radnor Lake State Natural as part of the research partnership between Penn State University, Division of Natural Areas, Division of State Parks and Friends of Radnor Lake over the past 7+ years focusing on unique, rare and/or endangered plant populations with the park ranger staff.

Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center

As part of our National Public Lands Day Celebration at Radnor Lake on Saturday, The Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center was open from 1pm-7pm for park visitors with Ranger Sam King conducted two birds of prey programs at the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Center for park visitors.
