Radnor is a good place to view eagles, especially because the park’s Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center gives visitors a chance to get up close and personal with the four resident eagles. The 10-year-old aviary complex offers a self-guided look at the birds, but there are often staff presentations during the open house events that take place from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays. BTW, these are free.
Radnor Lake also has spotting scope programs that take place on Otter Creek Road and the Lake Trail where rangers help visitors see the nests and the eagles.
