Unless otherwise noted, reservations for activities open at 10:00 A.M. on the Sunday before the program and will be taken until it is full.  Please call 377-1281 to sign up.

T.O.S. Birding Hikes at Radnor Lake

  • Join the Tennessee Ornithological Society for Wednesday walks at Radnor Lake to see what birds are along the trails at the natural area during the spring.  Hikes are being conducted on May 7th & May 14th starting at 7:30am from the Visitor Center/West Parking Area.  No reservations necessary.

 
Snakes of Radnor Lake
 

  • Sunday, May 18th at 9am.  Join Ranger Leslie Anne Rawlings for a program with our captive snakes at Radnor Lake. Meet at the Visitor Center for this program. All ages. No reservations necessary. 
  • Sunday, May 18th at Noon. Join Ranger Dustin Crowell for a program with our captive snakes at Radnor Lake.  Meet at the Visitor Center for this program.  All ages.  No reservations necessary.

 
Volunteer Trail Day at Radnor Lake State Natural Area

  • Saturday, May 24th at 8am.  Join the Radnor Lake Staff, REI Staff, Hands on Nashville and Friends of Radnor Lake for our monthly volunteer day.  We will be working on a variety of projects ranging from mulching trails, South Cove Trail step project and/or working on projects at the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center.  Lunch, gloves and bottled water provided by Friends of Radnor Lake. No Reservations necessary.

 
 Canoe Floats at Radnor Lake State Natural Area

  • Sunday, May 25th at 6am.  Join Ranger Sam King for an interpretive canoe float around Radnor Lake.  Canoe Float is approximately 1.5 hours.  Ages 10 years old and up.  Life vest, paddles and canoes provided by Radnor Lake.  Registration is required and begins on Sunday, May 18th at 10am. 

 

  • Memorial Day Sunrise Canoe Float:  Monday, May 26th at 6am.  Join Ranger Dustin Crowell for an interpretive canoe float around Radnor Lake. Canoe Float is approximately 1.5 hours.  Ages 10 years old and up.  Life vest, paddles and canoes provided by Radnor Lake.  Registration is required and begins on Sunday, May 25th at 10am.

 

  • Memorial Day Sunset Canoe Float:  Monday, May 26th at 7pm.  Join Ranger Jesse Germeraad for an interpretive canoe float around Radnor Lake. Canoe Float is approximately 1.5 hours.  Ages 10 years old and up.  Life vest, paddles and canoes provided by Radnor Lake.  Registration is required and begins on Sunday, May 25th at 10am.

  • Wednesday, May 7th at 6pm.  Join Ranger Sam King for a hike to the aviary center for a tour while it is under construction for an overview of this environmental education project currently underway at Radnor Lake.  Hike is approximately 1.5 hour. Meet at the Hall Drive/Otter Creek Road.  Reservations are required and open on Sunday, May 4th at 10am.

 

  • Friday, May 9th at 6pm.  Join Ranger Jesse Germeraad for a hike to the aviary center for a tour while it is under construction for an overview of this environmental education project currently underway at Radnor Lake.  Hike is approximately 1.5 hour.
