March 21st-Harris Ridge Trail Historical Research Hike

March 21
4pm-6pm
This is a unique hiking opportunity for our park visitors to see the current historical research being done in our trail planning for the Harris Ridge Trail Project at Radnor Lake. Funded by Friends of Radnor Lake, Dr. Heffington and 7 research students are working with the ranger staff on our trail planning thru these historical features. Special thanks to our friends at The Church fo the Advent for working with us to allow parking/meet up for this hike at their location and to Friends of Radnor Lake for funding the Henderson State University Research on the Harris Ridge Trail for the past two years! Bring your hiking shoes, walking stick and a bottle of water for this moderate hike which will include numerous stops to discuss our research on the ground at Radnor Lake. The focus of this hike is historical interpertation and the partnership between Friends of Radnor Lake, Henderson State University and the State of Tennessee on our goal of a new 3-mile trail from Franklin Road to Otter Creek Road while also preserving all of the historical features along this planned trail system. Ages 14 and up. Registration is required at:
