Late Summer Wildflower Hike in the Hall Farm led by Park Manager, Steve Ward

Come join Park Manager Steve Ward on Saturday, September 13th from 10am-11am for a moderate 1-hour hike in the Hall Farm to view firsthand our native grasslands initiative at Radnor Lake. We will meet at the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Center then hike down the hall drive, then down two bushhogged paths thru our field areas in the Hall Farm to get a glimpse of wildlife, birds, pollinators such as butterflies including (hopefully) Monarch Butterflies on their migration south.
This hike is off trail; ranger led and will be a moderate hike through the field areas to allow visitors to experience firsthand our #1 resource management priority since 2013 as we convert areas of the natural area to native grasslands to support specific wildlife species with this critical habitat.
We will start promptly at 10am, no late visitors will be allowed to join this hike so please plan ahead due to limited parking on what is expected to be a very busy visitation day at Radnor Lake. Registered attendees should plan time to hike to the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center to ensure they can be there for the start of the hike at 10am.
Registration is required, free but donations are encouraged. Ages 12 and above, no pets allowed. Visitors should wear good hiking shoes, bring insect repellent and plan on having a great time! Binoculars and cameras are not required but welcome for any visitor attending this moderate hike.
