Harding Academy Volunteer Day at Radnor Lake State Natural Area

Harding Academy came to Radnor Lake on November 7th to work with Ranger Sam King mulching on the Lake Trail. These volunteers worked long hours hauling recycled mulch in wheelbarrows and installing it along the trail which helps reduce sedimentation run-off (water quality), creates a more defined trail, protects adjoining plant life and creates a better hiking experience for park visitors.
Harding Academy community service program initially began from a middle school-wide project of getting out and helping others in the community.  Radnor Lake was first mentioned as a possible service day placement by a faculty member, Lisa Loper who frequented the natural area and is a regular park volunteer.

Harding Academy has been volunteering at Radnor Lake State Natural Area twice a year since the fall of 2010. We would like to thank Harding Academy for assisting us in our efforts to protect Radnor Lake and enhance our trails for our park visitors.  Thank you Harding Academy for your support of Radnor Lake!!!!!!!!!
