Giving Tuesday Kick-Off: Native Grasslands Hike through the Hall Farm

Come join us on Monday, December 1st from 2:30pm-4:30pm for an afternoon moderate off-trail hike through the Hall Farm at Radnor Lake State Natural Area. This hike has been scheduled to highlight our Giving Tuesday (Dec. 2) focus through Friends of Radnor Lake on our native grasslands initiative efforts the past 12 years. We will hike off trail along bushhogged paths through our native grassland project areas to our southern boundary of the Hall Farm.

Park Manager Steve Ward discusses our native grasslands initiative, bald eagle management plans, past and current land acquisition efforts and also plans for the restoration of two historic ponds in the Hall Farm. Ages 12 and up. Registration is required and limited to 20 visitors. Hiking sticks, good hiking shoes, & bottled water are recommended. No pets allowed.

Please note: Hike will begin at the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center at 2:30pm. Registered participants should plan 30 minutes ahead to arrive, park and hike to the aviary center where the hike will start at 2:30pm sharp.
