Friends of Radnor Lake at Blue Bird on the Mountain

Saturday, June 21, Friends of Radnor Lake was the recognized non-profit of the night. With record breaking attendance of 850, FORL brought awareness to their long term land acquisition and protection mission, and also highlighted the addition of the Aviary Education center project.
Several Board members donated their time for the evening dressed in the very fashionable Friends t-shirt. The evening would not be complete without Park manager Steve Ward and rangers Will Peters and Dustin Crowell.
Dustin brought Junior, the parks black horned owl, a very popular attraction for the evening. There was a very nice introduction from the stage about FORL and their mission. Steve Ward was introduced and gave a great over view highlighting the recent acquisition and protection of 65 acres that surround Dyer Observatory. Joined on the stage by Dustin and Junior (owl) Steve shared information on the Aviary Education Center.
