Earth Day at Radnor Lake with HCA

On April 22nd, 17 volunteers with HCA came out to work with our park staff at the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center as part of Earth Day 2024.

HCA Volunteers worked together to improve our landscaping on the education center, pressure wash our raptor ambassadors’ enclosures, and helped replace wood perches as part of our annual standard of care-enrichment for our birds of prey under our care at the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center.

HCA volunteers were given an inside tour of the facility and birds of prey glove programs thanks to SIR Mackenzie Maness and Ranger Matthew Bowling.

Thank you to all of our HCA Volunteers who came out to help us celebrate Earth Day 2024 and special thank you to Friends of Radnor Lake who provided supplies including a well-deserved Papa John’s dinner at 6pm to close out Earth Day 2024!
