Deloitte Volunteer Day at Radnor Lake State Natural Area (National Trails Day Weekend 2015)
On June 5th, our partners at Deloitte came to Radnor Lake State Natural Areas as part of their Impact Day to assist the ranger staff on trail projects.
Volunteers from Deloitte worked with Ranger Dustin Crowell and SIR Alex Kenney on installing gravel along the Lake Trail and repairing wood fencing, another group of volunteers assisted Park Manager Steve Ward on our Ganier Ridge reroute project.
In addition, our volunteers were treated to a birds of prey program and tour of the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Center by Ranger Sam King at the end of their work day today.
This is the 2nd year we have partnered with Deloitte to expand our National Trails Day Weekend to a 2-days of trail work. Special thanks to our volunteers from Deloitte and for their support of our 2-day National Trails Day program at Radnor Lake. Thank you Deloitte!
We will be offering a special volunteer day on June 6th (8am-noon) to continue on this work by our volunteers today from Deloitte, thanks to support from Friends of Radnor Lake, REI and Hands on Nashville. Lunch will be provided to our volunteers from Granny White Market thanks to a generous donation from REI.
We appreciate all of our volunteers working with us to improve our trails at Radnor Lake State Natural Area!
