Deaf Awareness Month: CommunityFEST 2024 Event by Bridges for Deaf and Hard of Hearing

As part of our continued partnership with Bridges for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Radnor Lake was invited to participate in CommunityFEST 2024 on Saturday, September 14. This event celebrates and highlights on Deaf Awareness Month which had over 100 people attending.

Radnor Lake focus was interpretive programming with our captive wildlife from the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center. This included a glove presentation by SIR Mackenzie Maness with our crowd favorite captive Great Horned Owl, Friends of Radnor Lake booth with information thanks to Friends of Radnor Lake Director Tina Corkum and Ranger Matthew Bowling interpretive programming w/our resident captive cornsnake.

Radnor Lake was honored to be part of CommunityFEST 2024 and celebrate our partnership with Bridges for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Thank you to SIR Mackenzie Maness, Ranger Matthew Bowling and FORL Director Tina Corkum for their time to represent Radnor Lake on Saturday!
