After Thanksgiving Land Acquisition Hike

22 visitors came out at 7:00am the day after Thanksgiving for a moderate hike to our newest land acquisition project to burn off their turkey dinner from Thanksgiving Day!

As part of the statewide Tennessee State Parks First Hike Series offered at all of our state parks, Radnor Lake offered an interpretive morning hike to one of the park’s newest 12-acres that was acquired in March 2023 thanks to the partnership between the State of Tennessee, Friends of Radnor Lake and a great adjoining landowner to ensure protection of our Lake Trail as we have grown to know it forever.

This hike also provided an opportunity to give back with a resource management focus as we collected tires, removed old boundary markers and trash while also removing a few invasive exotic plants as participants worked together to learn about and pull invasive-exotic plants on this new 12-acre tract.

Thank you to all of our 22 visitors who attended this off-trail hike resource management focused hike!
