2021 New Years Day Sunset Hike

To kick off 2021, 5 park visitors enjoyed a strenuous interpretive sunset hike from the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center to the Hideaway Tract Ridgetop.  This 2 1/2 mile strenuous hike included a hike thru the Hall Farm and an opportunity to see first-hand our recent Native Grasslands Initiative work funded by Friends of Radnor Lake.  

This Hideaway Ridgetop was part of a 63.5 acre acquisition in 2014 and is now protected forever as part of Radnor Lake State Natural Area thanks to the partnership between the State of Tennessee, the Land Trust of Tennessee, and Friends of Radnor Lake.  Thank you to our park visitors who joined us to kick off 2021 enjoying the scenic views and sunset!
