2019 National Trails Day Hike at Radnor Lake—-Harris Ridge Trail Project

40 park visitors came to Radnor Lake this morning (8am) for a unique hiking opportunity to see the current trail progress on our Harris Ridge Trail Project.
This hike was co-led by Dr. Doug Heffington from Henderson State University, Tennessee State Parks Trail Coordinator Michael Meister and Radnor Lake Park Manager Steve Ward to engage our park visitors on the progress of the Harris Ridge Trail Project.
Specifically, the collaborative efforts with Henderson State University research students and park volunteer efforts with the park staff since March 2019 with the objective of reaching our long-term goal of creating a 3-mile trail from Franklin Road to Otter Creek Road.
Special thanks to our friends at The Church of the Advent for working with us to allow parking/meet up for this hike at their location to offer this hike as part of our 2019 National Trails Day at Radnor Lake.
