Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center Celebrates 10 Years!!

Since May 1, 2015, the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center has provided a permanent home for several non-releasable birds of prey, offering them expert care while educating visitors about the vital role raptors play in our ecosystem.

Through partnership with the State of Tennessee and support from donors like you, the aviary has become a cornerstone of environmental education.

As we move into the second decade of this public-private partnership, we have plans for facility enhancements to provide an even better experience for our raptors and visitors.

Learn more during Open House hours on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am-1pm or on our 10th Anniversary webpage.
