Wildfire training at Radnor Lake State Natural Area (August 24th, 2016)

On August 24th, State Park Rangers across from across the State of Tennessee participated in a wildfire training at Radnor Lake State Natural Area.  Thanks to our partners at Tennessee Division of Forestry, rangers were able to participate in a S-130 Firefighter Training and S-190 Wildland Fire Behavior certification. This training provided instruction in the primary factors affecting the start and spread of wildfire and how to recognize potentially hazardous situations that could compromise safety on the fire line.

Special thanks to TDF Fire Operations Unit Leader Robin Bible for instructing this class for our rangers across the state and to Friends of Radnor Lake for providing lunch for this training!
