Trees to Trails Program at Radnor Lake State Natural Area

There is specific criteria (see attached) on the tree donations such as no nails, twine, frosting, etc….but all types of evergreen trees used during the holiday season are accepted for recycling.  Visitors and park neighbors may leave their donated tree in the West Parking Area only as there is a designated drop off zone that will be set up until February 1st.  Between December 25th and February 1st, these donated recycled trees will be chipped by Clean Earth Collections to be used as mulch along the Lake Trail at Radnor Lake.

Special Thanks to Jonathan Cummings and his crew at Clean Earth Collections for donating their time this year to turn these trees into mulch that is applied on the trails at Radnor Lake by the park ranger staff and park volunteers beginning on our January 24th Volunteer Trail Day.
