Volunteer/TN Promise at Radnor Lake – June 21, 2019

On Friday, 38 park volunteers came to Radnor Lake to assist the park staff on mulching the Lake Trail. This group of volunteers was compiled of TN Promise Students, local scouts and employees from Dell who worked together hauling mulch down the trail via wheel barrows to assist us at Radnor Lake. Park management would like to thank all of our volunteers who contributed 4 hours of their time on Friday afternoon to help us maintain our trail for our visitors to the natural area. Special thanks to Friends of Radnor Lake and Nissan for providing bottled water, gloves, etc…for our volunteers last Friday!
This coming Friday, the park staff will be offering two volunteer opportunities for TN Promise Students in need of community service hours. Our first session will begin at 10am-2pm and our second session will be 2pm-6pm. Friends of Radnor Lake and our partners at Nissan will be providing lunch (pizza) and bottled water this Friday for all of our volunteers!
