Canoe Floats at Radnor Lake State Natural Area

  • Evening Canoe Float: July 13th at 6pm. Join Ranger Dustin Crowell for an interpretive canoe float around Radnor Lake. Canoe Float is approximately 1.5 hours. Ages 10 years old and up. Life vest, paddles and canoes provided by Radnor Lake. Registration is required and can be made for this program by email at Dustin.Crowell@tn.gov. Reservations begin on July 12th at 1pm and will be confirmed in the order they are received.

 

  • Evening Canoe Float: Wednesday, July 15th at 6pm. Join Ranger Sam King for an interpretive canoe float around Radnor Lake. Canoe Float is approximately 1.5 hours. Ages 10 years old and up. Life vest, paddles and canoes provided by Radnor Lake. Registration is required and can be made for this program by email at Sam.King@tn.gov. Reservations begin on July 13th at 9am and will be confirmed in the order they are received.

 

  • Sunrise Canoe Float: Thursday, July 16th at 6am. Join Ranger Will Peters for an interpretive canoe float around Radnor Lake. Canoe Float is approximately 1.5 hours. Ages 10 years old and up. Life vest, paddles and canoes provided by Radnor Lake. Registration is required and can be made for this program by email at Will.Peters@tn.gov Reservations begin on July 15th at 6am and will be confirmed in the order they are received.

 

  • Sunrise Canoe Float: Sunday, July 19th at 6am. Join Ranger Will Peters for an interpretive canoe float around Radnor Lake. Canoe Float is approximately 1.5 hours. Ages 10 years old and up. Life vest, paddles and canoes provided by Radnor Lake. Registration is required and can be made for this program by email at Will.Peters@tn.gov. Reservations begin on July 16th at 9am and will be confirmed in the order they are received.

 
 

Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center:

 

  • Wednesday, July 15th at 7am-1pm. Join Ranger Will Peters and SIR Alex Kenney at the new aviary center at Radnor Lake for a tour, a bird of prey program at 9am and noon to view our three birds of prey. Reservations are not required.

 

  • Saturday, July 18th at 1pm-Sunset. Join Ranger Sam King and SIR Alex Kenney at the new aviary center at Radnor Lake for a tour, a bird of prey program at 2pm and 4pm to view our three birds of prey. Reservations are not required.

 

  • Wednesday, July 22nd at 7am-1pm. Join Ranger Sam King and SIR Alex Kenney at the new aviary center at Radnor Lake for a tour, a bird of prey program at 9am and noon to view our three birds of prey. Reservations are not required.

 

  • Saturday, July 25th at 1pm-Sunset. Join Ranger Sam King and SIR Alex Kenney at the new aviary center at Radnor Lake for a tour, a bird of prey program at 2pm and 4pm to view our three birds of prey. Reservations are not required.

 
 

 Tennessee Promise Volunteer Trail Day at Radnor Lake

Saturday, July 18th at 8 am until 4pm. Join the Ranger staff and the Friends of Radnor Lake for this special work day as part of a statewide effort by Tennessee State Parks. We will work on the projects along the Lake Trail and Ganier Ridge Trail.  Reservations are required and can be made at or by email at Steve.Ward@tn.gov.

  • July Volunteer Trail Day: Saturday, July 25th at 8 AM until Noon. Join the Ranger staff and the Friends of Radnor Lake for our monthly volunteer work day. We will work on the projects along the Lake Trail and Ganier Ridge Trail. No reservations necessary.

 
 
Note: No interpretive canoe floats will be offered July 20th thru 26th due to our Jr. Ranger Intern Program and working with volunteers on our trails.
