Radnor Lake State Natural Area began it’s spring land acquisition hike campaign on Friday, March 4th.  This years hikes are focused on property recently placed under contract thanks to the partnership between Tennessee State Parks and Friends of Radnor Lake.

Tennessee State Parks Director of Operations Mike Robertson and Regional Manager Chris Padgett kicked off the hike campaign with a 3 hour hike on March 4th which was followed by a 7am hike with 6 park visitors on Saturday, March 5th.

These land acquisition hikes will discuss a variety of topics ranging from viewshed, watershed, historical and unique plant life on the newly acquired property to coincide with Friends of Radnor Lake raising 1 million dollars in private funds to acquire needed adjoining parcels of property to provide future trail opportunities.

Over 20 hikes will be offered this spring, please see our program schedule which will be posted after March 10th to see a list of dates and registration information.
