September 23rd, 2016 National Public Lands Day Kick-Off Hike at Radnor Lake State Natural Area

On Friday afternoon, Radnor Lake State Natural Area Kicked-Off National Public Lands Day 2016 with a special hike offered to park visitors to our newest land acquisition project known as the Harris Ridge Project from 4 pm – 6 pm. This interpretive hike was be led by Dr. Robert Loeb of Penn State University, Dr. Doug Heffington of MTSU and Park Manager Steve Ward and highlighted the cultural, historical and vegetative studies conducted with these higher educational partners, Tennessee State Parks and Friends of Radnor Lake.

 

14 park visitors attended this strenuous hike to learn about the partnership between Tennessee State Parks and Friends of Radnor Lake to acquire and protect this acreage off of Franklin Road.
