It has been a busy week at Radnor Lake as the ranger staff has worked with over 100 volunteers this week installing mulch on the eastern portion of the Lake Trail with wheelbarrows. Over the past 3 months, the ranger staff has been working with numerous volunteers and volunteer groups to improve the drainage on the eastern half of the Lake Trail by installing gravel/rock on over 1/4 of a mile of trail and then adding 8″ of mulch on all of the rock installed to improve the trail for our park visitors. This has been a long 3-4 month process, thank you to all of our volunteers this summer!

On Thursday, August 20th we were fortunate enough to have 75 students from Lipscomb University work with Ranger Dustin Crowell and Ranger Paul Schauer installing mulch and rock on the Lake Trail via wheelbarrows.

On Saturday, August 22nd for our monthly volunteer day over 30 volunteers showed up to work with the Ranger Sam King and Ranger Will Peters installing mulch on the Lake Trail via wheelbarrows. Special thanks to Dan and crew at Granny White Market and Friends of Radnor Lake for providing lunch for our volunteers and ranger staff on Saturday.

Thank you to all of our volunteers who came out to work with us this past week on our trails at Radnor Lake State Natural Area!

Our next scheduled work day will be on September 26th (8am-noon) as we celebrate National Public Lands Day at Radnor Lake.
