30 Hikes in 30 Days Campaign at Radnor Lake (Nov. 1st thru 12th pics) 2016

The ranger staff at Radnor Lake State Natural Area have been conducting hikes the past month for park visitors to our newly acquired Harris Ridge Project.   This past Saturday (Nov. 12th), we had 21 visitors attend two hikes (7am and 1pm) to see this property first hand, learn about the watershed, viewshed, natural and cultural significance and future management plans thanks to the partnership between Tennessee State Parks, Friends of Radnor

Radnor Lake 30 hikes/30 days campaign on October 20th, 21st & 22nd, 2016

National Public Lands Day at Radnor Lake

Over 35 volunteers came out on National Public Lands Day this morning to work with Ranger Paul Schauer on day #2 of our volunteer efforts on the Historic Valve House Project.   Thanks to all of our volunteers the past two days on helping us toward our goal of completing the Historic Valve House Trail Project by December 31st.   Special thanks to Friends of Radnor Lake  for providing lunch to all of our volunteers and staff today!

Motlow College Students at Radnor Lake State Natural Area for National Public Day Weekend Work Day

Motlow College Conservation and Outdoor Recreation Club (COR Club) and Environmental Science students celebrated National Public Lands Day on Friday, September 23rd by helping Radnor Lake State Natural Area restore a Piece of History from the early 1900s through the mid-1950s.  This Historic Valve House and Valve are located just downstream of the Radnor Lake Dam.
