May 23, 2015 Volunteer Day
May 23rd, 2015 Volunteer Trail Day by Brenda Mikec

35 volunteers joined the park ranger staff, REI Staff and Friends of Radnor Lake on Saturday, May 23rd for our monthly volunteer day.   Volunteers worked on mulching and repairing fencing along sections of the Lake Trail.  Lunch, bottled water and other supplies were provided by Friends of Radnor Lake and REI. Thank you volunteers for working with us on Memorial Day Weekend!  Please plan on joining us for a special volunteer day on June 6th

Walter Criley Visitor Center Renovation Project 2015

On Monday, February 9th the Walter Criley Visitor Center began a major renovation focused on improving exhibits, energy efficiency and educating park visitors on the natural area.  The visitor center has been closed since April due to the safety of our park visitors due to this construction process. Portable toilets have been  available in front of the Visitor Center for public use and we anticipate opening the restrooms in the building for public

  On April 25th, 23 volunteers came to Radnor Lake to work with the ranger staff on two projects.  Volunteers hauled mulch down the lake trail with wheelbarrows and helped the ranger staff at the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center.   Lunch from Granny White Market was provided by Friends of Radnor Lake.
