Another great year with 45 Jr. Ranger Interns at Radnor Lake over 18 days of the summer of 2014.  A special Thanks to the Friends of Radnor Lake for supporting and funding this program at Radnor Lake as we conclude the 12th year of the Jr. Ranger Intern Program at Radnor Lake!   Monday, we spent the day hiking 5 miles and educating the interns on the BJMAEC Project with Dustin conducting birds of prey programs and Jesse conducting snakes/reptile

Radnor Lake Ranger Staff worked with 20+ volunteers from Crowe Horwath LLP on the Lake Trail installing gravel in preparation of Volunteer Day on Saturday, July 26th.      The volunteers did a great job laying gravel along portions of the trail to help with drainage and ensure a better hiking experience for our Radnor Lake Visitors. This portion of trail was mulched the following day by volunteers attending our monthly volunteer day at Radnor

Two canoe floats were offered this morning at Radnor Lake for the 4th of July at 7am and 8:30am.  Commissioner Bob Martineau and guests attended a 8:30am canoe float this morning at Radnor Lake led by SIR Will Peters and Park Manager Steve Ward. In addition to the two canoe floats this morning, Ranger Sam King led an tour of the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center at 9am and birds of prey program for park visitors.    [caption id="attachment_3226"
